After graduating from Indiana University, Jeff Kropschot decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and began work as a bank and trust examiner with the State of Indiana in 1989. After nearly 10 years as a state and federal examiner, Jeff left public service and joined A.G. Edwards Trust Company as their Chief Compliance Officer and BSA Officer in 1998. Jeff left A.G. Edwards Trust Company after it was acquired by Wachovia in 2008 and joined Edward Jones Trust Company as their Chief Compliance Officer and BSA Officer. In 2017, Jeff decided to leave the stability of a career with Edward Jones Trust Company to realize a long-time dream of establishing his own firm, providing consulting and training services to financial institutions trying to make their way through an increasingly difficult regulatory landscape with limited resources.
Jeff is an honors graduate of Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust Audit and Compliance School, receiving the designation of Certified Trust Compliance Professional in 2000. He also passed the Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional examination, offered by National Regulatory Services and the Investment Adviser Association, in 2006. Jeff served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management Association from 2007-2019. Jeff enjoys speaking and teaching at industry schools, conferences and seminars.
